Cameron Gipson
Cameron is a black cartoonist and illustrator from Brooklyn, New York. His work is informed by his passion to change people’s preconceptions of others through striking imagery and storytelling. His work would be described as immersive and dynamic. While growing up he rarely saw people of color properly represented in comics and anime, despite all his friends identifying with the characters in those mediums regardless of their race or background. His work attempts to show stories where the viewer relates to the emotion the work is trying to invoke before casting their judgements on the subjects. He is interested in exploring people's perspectives in order to tell stories about people’s fundamental and unspoken morals and beliefs.
